Add dry ingredients to wet until barely combined. I suggest using around ½ of the dry ingredients. Most chocolate pieces should be folded. Reserve ½ cup for cookie bar topping.

Cut 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips.Press cookie dough into pan. Spread chocolate chip cookie dough on the pan with a flexible spatula. Place reserved chocolate chips on top.

Bake bars for 22–27 minutes until edges are light golden brown, slightly puffed, and slightly pulled away from pan sides.

Cool peanut butter chocolate chip bar cookies on the hot pan for 25–30 minutes.

Put remaining parchment paper on the long sides of the pan to gently raise the bars to cool on a cooling rack after the cookies have cooled enough to remove without breaking. Slice and enjoy!
